There are many special days in Korea. Among them, May 8 is Parents’ Day. It is a day to express gratitude to our parents and spend quality time together. To celebrate this year’s May 8th, I visited drRobin in Gwanghwamun to enjoy a delicious meal with my mother. Located in the heart of Seoul, it’s a great spot for international travelers to visit. Not only is the food delicious, but it’s also a wellness restaurant that prioritizes health. If you’re traveling near Gwanghwamun, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Heading to drRobin
To get to drRobin, take Exit 4 from Gwanghwamun Station (Line 5) on the subway. Head toward Kyobo Book Centre. If you’re taking the bus, get off at the Gwanghwamun Station bus stop. I’ll explain using the subway as a reference. After exiting through Exit 4, walk toward Jongno, and you’ll see a large building on your left with Olive Young and Uniqlo. That’s the building (Gwanghwamun D-Tower)!
Directions to drRobin at Gwanghwamun D-Tower on Google Maps
Once you enter the building, you’ll see an escalator. Take it up to the 5th floor. Gwanghwamun D-Tower has many great restaurants besides drRobin, which I’m introducing today. If you happen to feel like trying something else while you’re up there, feel free to check them out. They’re all famous franchises or popular spots, so you can’t go wrong. If you’d like to learn about other great restaurants near Gwanghwamun, check out “Local Lunch in Seoul at Gwanghwamun and Jonggak (paid for myself).”
Business hours are from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. From Monday to Friday, there is a break time from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. On Saturdays, the break time is from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and it seems there is no break time on Sundays.
Here’s a tip
- We made a reservation through Naver before visiting. If you’d like to make a reservation, I recommend doing so via Naver.
- If you’re visiting on a weekday, you can probably eat without waiting even if you don’t make a reservation.
Recommended Menu Items
drRobin is a restaurant that serves healthy food. Interest in wellness is growing among foreigners these days, too. Since they make healthy wellness food based on the principles of “no sugar, no butter, no MSG,” it’s a place where you can enjoy a meal without any worries.

Whole Sweet Pumpkin and Bean Cream Soup (23,800 KRW)
This is the restaurant’s signature dish. It’s a soup made by blending domestic soybeans into a whole butternut squash. Since it’s a low-sugar option, you can enjoy it without worry before your meal. You absolutely must order and try this! Highly recommended!
Margherita (22,500 KRW)
This is a very light pizza topped with stevia tomato sauce, cheese, fresh tomatoes, and basil. It may look simple, but the flavor is anything but. It has a deep, rich flavor and a chewy texture I really enjoyed it.

Polpo (35,900 KRW)
I ordered this because my mother loves octopus. The first bite revealed a wonderfully tender texture. Paired with the accompanying sauce and roasted vegetables, the flavors harmonize perfectly to create a truly delicious dish.
Carbonara (24,000 KRW)
This carbonara is made with healthy soy cream instead of regular cream. The rich flavors of the eggs and cheese blend beautifully with the light, clean taste, and the seasoning is just right it was absolutely delicious.

I visited drRobin, located in Gwanghwamun D-Tower. Both my mother and I really enjoyed our meals. While spicy and flavorful foods are delicious when traveling in Seoul, it’s also nice to enjoy healthy options like this every now and then. I highly recommend visiting drRobin, where you can travel, stay healthy, and enjoy delicious food all at once.
